Goldie Zaldivar has been surrounded by creative people all her life. Her father was a musician and a professional photographer. Her uncle and grandmother were artists, and her mother is passionate about making fun-intimate interior & exterior spaces. Goldie Design is a collaboration of everything that inspires her—from art, fashion, photography, architecture, design, music, culture & lifestyle.
She loves locating hand-selected art, furniture, and accessories based on her client’s personal style, needs and budget. Goldie is passionate about connecting her clients with pieces from emerging to mid-level artists to find special pieces to place in their homes and businesses. She travels and attends many artwalks and events throughout the year to have a sense of resources available that are unique and special.
Goldie is organized, pays attention to detail, and has high expectations for overall customer satisfaction by turning her customer’s vision into their reality. Her interior & exterior spaces are fun-intimate spaces that incorporate original artwork to create good energy that draws people into a space. Goldie enjoys working in a variety of styles, guided by her client’s individual needs and taste. She designs a space on how it will flow and function as well as how the style & art bring a design concept together.
Goldie has a long-standing interest in the adventure of finding original and unique pieces for her clients from specialty stores, tradeshows, flea markets, and art events throughout the year. She has a respect for historical architecture by studying a room’s architectural features before selecting fixtures throughout a home or business. Goldie appreciates the freshness of mixing the modern with the old. She believes that color, organization, design & art have the power to transform and enhance the energy of any environment. Overall, her goal is to create a custom design that’s “just right” for the client based on their personal style, needs, and budget.
Goldie has a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University of Long Beach. Currently, she attends the Interior Designer’s Institute in Newport Beach, California.
